Apple fans may have reason to celebrate, as references to new Apple silicon chips have been uncovered in official Apple code. Twitter user @chipanalysis recently analyzed Apple’s Tatsu Signing Server (TSS), which is responsible for the verification of firmware files. Through extensive research, this user discovered mentions of previously unknown chips, including the highly anticipated “A19” and “M5.”
The TSS requests conducted by @chipanalysis involved testing every conceivable identifier. Those requests that did not result in an error are believed to point to chips that have yet to be released by Apple. The findings indicate the possible existence of the “M5 Pro,” “M5 Max,” and “M5 Ultra” chips, in addition to the A19.
By examining the logical progression and patterns of previously released chips, it has been inferred that the identifier 0x8150 corresponds to the A19 chip. Similarly, the identifiers 0x6050, 0x6051, and 0x6052 are speculated to represent the M5 Pro, M5 Max, and M5 Ultra, respectively.
While no specific release dates have been announced, if Apple sticks to its annual iPhone model release schedule, it is speculated that the A19 chip could make its debut with the iPhone 17 Pro models in 2025. This news has fueled excitement among Apple enthusiasts who eagerly anticipate the technological advancements this chip may bring.
In the meantime, Apple users may soon be treated to another groundbreaking innovation. The tech giant is expected to announce its first-ever 3nm chip, the A17 Bionic, in the upcoming iPhone 15 Pro models. This chip promises significant improvements in both performance and energy efficiency, surpassing the capabilities of previous Apple silicon chips.
With these revelations, Apple fans have plenty to look forward to in terms of hardware enhancements. The new chips signify the company’s commitment to delivering cutting-edge technology to its loyal customer base. As the unveiling of these chips draws nearer, anticipation builds in the tech community for the potential advancements they may bring to Apple devices.
