Taiwan’s Defense Ministry Urges China to Cease “Destructive, Unilateral Action” Amid Escalation in Military Activities
The defense ministry of Taiwan has issued a stern warning to China to halt its “destructive, unilateral action,” following a sharp rise in Chinese military activities near the island. Taiwan fears that such behavior could significantly escalate tensions between the two sides.
According to the defense ministry, a staggering 103 Chinese military aircraft have been spotted over the sea since Sunday. The frequent appearance of Chinese fighter jets crossing the median line of the Taiwan Strait and aircraft flying through the Bashi Channel has raised serious security concerns for Taiwan and the region at large.
